On November 22nd, 2011 a fashion event was organized by the Representant of the Brussels Region in Poland, Mr. Nicolas Nève de Mévergnies, at the Belgian Embassy in Warsaw. During a perfectly organized fashion show the only company showing masculine collections was Scabal. Both business and casual attire and evening and ceremonial wear were shown. Since more than 20 years Scabal is represented by the Honorary Consul of Belgium in Western Poland, Mr. Jan Spilliaert. Warsaw is a major international tourist destination and an important economical hub in Central and Eastern Europe. Warsaw's mixture of architectural styles reflects the turbulent history of the city and country. The city has wonderful examples of architecture from the gothic, renaissance, baroque and neoclassical periods, all of which are located within easy walking distance of the town centre.Of the 21 tallest skyscrapers in Poland, 18 are situated in Warsaw so Warsaw's current urban landscape is one of modern and contemporary architecture. Famous people born in Warsaw are Chopin, Marie Curie, Tamara de Lempicka and Isaac Bashevis Singer. | ![]() |
